Did you catch these past 2 weeks Lance Hahn tributes on Radio Riot? Check out the KFAI archives. It was mostly old UK peace punk, which he spent much time researching and archiving in the past few years. I will miss his monthly MRR interviews with bands from that era.

I usually like dissonant pieces myself. Probably why I like Godspeed so much.

Something I forgot to mention cuz the "is it classical?" theme plus being tired made me forget, we went to a free showing of Nosferatu at a church tonite, with an organ playing along live the whole time. The church is HUGE with a cool old stone interior. Very creepy place to watch a vampire movie. (That's one use that I believe the Lettrists failed to suggest - http://www.cddc.vt.edu/sionline/presitu/potlatch23.html#Anchor-Project-50557 - screen old scary movies in them.) That was a lot of fun, and definitely the right price. And like five minutes from our place, so the right distance. Organs are neat. Any instrument that big gets props in my book. Turns out this church does pretty regular chamber music and whatnot. We're going to try to start going, and see if the other big old churches just round the bend ever do fun free stuff. I'm gonna be so cultured it's sick.
