A bridge collapsed in Minneapolis tonite around six. Several people called and emailed as they heard the news, wanting to make sure we’re okay. We’re fine. As far as we know, everyone we know is too. Thanks.

Geez, didn’t mean to contribute to such a snippy reaction. I was just calling to see how bad the cellphone outage was.

hi MJ,
I think we’re having a misunderstanding. I got a lot of calls and emails from people. I figured that some folk are like me and tend to hear about news late (if I didn’t happen to be in a bar that had a TV on at the time I wouldn’t have heard until I checked my voicemail, I’m generally not up on the news etc). So I thought, some of those people read my blog. I wrote this post to head off any concern, and sent a short email doing the same. It wasn’t intended to be snippy, just a real brief “hey I’m okay, if you heard about the bridge don’t worry.” Any apparent tone is the product of brevity, which was the product of my being both in a hurry and lazy. Cool?
take care,
Nate
